IND v ZIM: 3RD ODI PREVIEW
India take 2-0 lead in the 3 match series riding on an unbeaten 43 * from Sanju Samson who won his 1st MoM in international cricket. India secured a convincing 6 wkt victory chasing Zimbabwe's total of 161. This was their 14th consecurive win over the hosts in the 50 over format and stand in skipper KL Rahul's 2nd win as a captain after a horror start in SA earlier this year. Ind won the toss and chose to field again. Deepak Chahar who was the star in the 1st game was missing in the 11 since he was rested as a precautionery measure.Krishna and Siraj made the new ball talk on a spicy surface and conceded only 11 runs in the 1st 7 overs. Shardul Thakur had an expensive start to his spell with 3 boundaries in 1st 2 overs but he took 3/38 by removing the likes of Kaia, Chakabava and Jongwe. These was his 2nd best performance in 8 odis in 2022 and his best performance away from him.
At 31/4 Zim's most experienced pair Raza and Williams started the repair work but the former miscued a cut shot at point off Kuldeep's bowling. Williams was looking good with a run a ball 42 but handed out a simple catch at deep square leg against Hooda. Zim were eventually bundled out at 161 and this time there was no magic by the tail enders who had stitched a 70 run partnership for the 9th wkt in 1st ODI.
KL Rahul promoted himself at the top order but was dismissed lbw while attempting flick shot. Ind lost 3 wkts in a span of 50 runs and found themselves at 97/4. Sanju Samson hit 4 sixes, the most by him in an ODI innings. Overall, he had a good game with 3 catches behind the stumps. Going into the dead rubber for the 3rd ODI, it would be interesting to see if the likes of Ruturaj and Tripathi find a spot in the 11.

Key players & Fantasy Picks
Captain and Vice Captain
Shubhman Gill: He had an exact average and SR of 102.5 in the 3 match ODI series against WI. He missed out on a well deserved maiden ton after he was stranded on 98* due to rain in the last odi and an unfortunate run out in the 1st ODI after reaching his 50. He also became the 2nd youngest Indian to score a ODI 50 in WI after Virat Kohli. he continued his rich vein of form and racked up an another score of 80+ in ODIs and got a good start in the 2nd one by chipping in with a 30 odd
Shikhar Dhawan: He has scored 11 half centuries in his last 23 innings and came out to bat with a more positive intent in the last ODI than he has in recent past. His SR in PP is below 70 this year.
Sikandar Raza: He has been Zim's best batter for the past few years. Before this series he was averaging 50+ in the format in 20 innings since 2020 and this year had scored 472 runs at an avg of 67. He is also a handy bowler and has picked up 9 wkts at an eco of 5 since 2020 ( 20 innings ). A lot lies on his and Sean Williams' shoulder in the batting order.
Budget pickings
( Fantasy rating - 8/8.5 points )
Mohammad Siraj: It appears as if he has finally found his rythm after a horror IPL and a below par performance in the solitary test in Eng. He bowled brilliantly with the new ball in Eng and WI and has scalped 11 wkts in his last 7 odis at an eco of less than 5
Wild Card
Ryan Burl played an explosive innings against the Bangladesh in t2ois and has all the abilities to repeat his exploits in the longer format.
